I love Mitsubitshi Evolution

Man I want this car...
Someday...

The following high quality video might take you around 40 minutes to finish.

The video I brought to you is a Lancer Evo 9 time attacking in the Nurburgring. The result is the best of 2 liters cars.

Although Keiichi Tsuchiya clocked a faster lap time with a Subaru Imprezza Ver. 8, but the road condition is different, it's wet when EVO do the time attack, and Imprezza did it in dry condition.

Government think tank proposes fuel hikes – 15 sen this year and RON95 to cost RM2.60 by 2015

PEMANDU, a government think tank led by Minister in Prime Minister’s Department Idris Jala tasked with formulating proposals to reduce the country’s government subsidy budget has recommended a petrol price hike of 15 sen for RON95 and 10 sen for diesel.

This is the petrol price hike schedule which we’ll be looking at, based on a crude oil forecast of US$73.06 per barrel in 2011 and the region of between US$79.41 to US$94.52 per barrel between 2013 and 2015.

* Current 2010 Price – RM1.80 per liter RON95
* Q3/Q4 2010 Price Hike – RM1.95 per liter RON95
* 2011 Price Hike – RM2.16 per liter RON95 (broken into 2 hikes, once per 6 months)
* 2012 Price Hike – RM2.20 per liter RON95
* 2013 Price Hike – RM2.34 per liter RON95
* 2014 Price Hike – RM2.52 per liter RON95
* 2015 Price Hike – RM2.60 per liter RON95

These are just the proposed hikes for RON95. RON97 was not mentioned in the recommendations, which indicates that the government is further decreasing priority on RON97 subsidies. We could see a price of way over RM3 per liter for RON97 by 2015.

Not only that, the proposal recommends that the government renegotiate the PLUS toll concession contract this year and the LDP contract by 2013, then all toll concession agreements must proceed without any subsidies, resulting in a toll hike of between 10% to 67% depending on the highway, distance, etc from this year onwards.

For those dreaming of a future of driving electric cars, electricity tariffs are to be untouched for those using less than 200 kWh for this year. However gas prices are proposed to be increased by RM3/MMBTU every 6 months, which will translate to an electricity increased of 1.6 sen/kWh every 6 months. If we take the Nissan Leaf’s 24kWh battery as an example, that’s a RM0.38 hike per full charge for the Nissan Leaf every 6 months. LPG, which is priced at RM24.50 has been proposed to be hiked to RM27 with a 20% price increase every year.

The proposal also spells out a “mitigation plan” which involves giving cash rebates of 126 ringgit for owners of cars with engines smaller than 1,000cc in capacity, and 54 ringgit for owners of small motorcycles. My reference source doesn’t mention of this is one time, monthly, or yearly. There is also a proposal for a 20% discount on toll charges for frequent users and a cash rebate of RM20 for anyone with a Malaysian IC – not sure what this cash rebate is for but I’m assuming it’s for fuel?

According to PEMANDU this will save the government about 3 billion ringgit this year, 14 billion ringgit next year, 21 billion ringgit in 2012, 29.5 billion ringgit in 2013 and 35 billion ringgit in 2014. These plans are yet to be approved by the government.

Nice stuff to share

It's a film clip of 2 Nissan GTR vs Bugatti Veyron.
The video present the drag battle between tuned Japanese super car with 730hp and the world fastest car.
Theoretically GTR has no match with the Veyron, and it's obviously true. But what I really got to highlight is what happened at 2'24, a GTR catch up with Nitro Oxide, we can see it through the beautiful blue flame and the exciting acceleration.
You will enjoy not only the video quality, the engine sounds can also get you exited.

Wherever the wind blows, wherever the grass fall.

A meaningful phrase quoted from the movie Monga (艋舺).

“风往哪里吹,草就往哪里倒。 年轻的时候,我们都以为自己是风,结果弄到伤痕累累。之后才知道,我们都只是草。”

Yes, wherever the wind blows, wherever the grass goes fall. When we were young, we thought ourselves are the wind, but end up we are just the grass.

It's sad phrase, but it's real. Nobody is as tough as they thought.

So, we don't have to be perfect, just work as hard as we could.
There will be people that dislike you, as nobody is perfect, just let it go.
Friends might turn their face to you, but as long as they don't kill, forget about it.
The first thing to be matured is by learning how to considerate, forgive and forget.
Nobody have to take responsible for others childishness.

Favorite Toyota's MPV at all time

This is what I spotted in Hospital Johor Specialist. They are (From Left) Estima, Alphard and Wish. These 3 MPVs are belongs to 3 doctors. These cars are very common in Malaysia, all of them are in different class and price tag.

From this we can see Toyota really take part in MPVs market, from the economical Avanza to Luxury Veil Fire, they really produced great numbers of models.

Btw, as you can see it's nothing special to see it right? But all of them are with M7 emblem, you see this everyday? I bet not.

Neo hits RM10 = 74km (hard driving)

I pumped full tank last night, and wanted to know how much it cost after 70km of driving.

My car used to have great RM10 = 80km fuel consumption and it was base on 50% city drive and 50% highway drive. But after 1.5 year I wonder if it's still in that condition.

After I upgrades a few parts of my car (Previous entry), the car is obviously lighter for accelerate, and better engine response. So I wanna take experiment, this time I don't drive like a gentleman, but like a mad hog and see how much fuel consumed.

And tata, here is the result:

Ps: I pumped till the petrol gun poped up itself, and it showed a figure of 9.8x Ringgit, so I just fill it to approximately RM10. Petrol I use is Shell Fuel Save Ron97.

I'm quite satisfied with this result (RM1 = 15km+-/ RM0.13/km)even I pull the car to 160km/h for more than 10minutes before I fill the petrol.

Stay tune for my next gentlemen style driving fuel consumption.

and then I spotted this car, a very very unique classic Mercury. 1 word to say, It's long and huge. can't imagine? It has the width of a truck, double length of my Satria Neo. Cool? I say yes.

Resignation

One week after working with Appco, I decide to resign from the job.

As it's a job w/o basic, too risky for me to take part. Although there's nice supervision, trainings, and system, there will be chances to get nice income as well. But I'm unable to make such great sales in a short period of time. Learning need time and I have limited saving in bank, I can't work w/o basic pay as traveling from my house to office is quite a distance, expenses of petrol and energy spent for the traffic jam are great burden for me.

Hence, I have a God Mum to take care of, she's old and get in and out of hospital frequently, I'm the best person who can really take care of her.

It's great experience to work with Mr. Arvind and Mr. Paddy. Thanks for your lovely patient during training and praise as well. I'm sorry for leaving the company in such short period of time.

So, as what you seen above is WWF, World Wildlife Foundation. I'm currently as a Charity worker of them. (The wrestling Panda with a steel chair is not real.)

First of all, I was quite amazed by the traffic flow in Jalan Skudai of morning, it is congested all the way to my office. Wow!
It's great job experience today as we rarely see 3 races are having breakfast together:

The guy in white is my personal trainer, Mr. Arvind. A very nice person who willing to share his experience, knowledge and listen to your opinion. It's great to work with guy like Mr. Arvint.

This is my breakfast, nice Maggie Goreng of E&Y Restaurant.

It's late in the night, I been Station One to have tea with friends before getting some sleep.

There's a special event just happened around there, a girl from Iraq sings on the stage, her voice is........err.....not that nice but she was welcomed by everyone sitting around the Cafe, and won their applause as she has the guts to sing in public. It's nice as we don't see this everyday, so I take a photo of her singing on the stage:

Welcome to M'sia even you're not reading this blog. Nice song you sang though.

7.4-magnitude Earthquake Hits Bandar Aceh, Indonesia.

Indonesia has issued a local tsunami alert after a 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck near the province of Aceh.

The quake struck offshore, 214km (133 miles) south-east of the provincial capital of Banda Aceh, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.

It had a depth of 61.4km, the USGS said.

The site is very near that of 2004's 9.2 magnitude earthquake. About 220,000 people were killed in the Indian Ocean tsunami the quake triggered.

The epicentre of the latest quake was about 66km (41 miles) south-west of Meulaboh district, Indonesia's earthquake agency said.

The district, and other parts of Aceh, were devastated in the 26 December 2004 earthquake.

Ring of Fire

The quake hit at 9 of May, 2010, 01:59:44 (GMT+08:00). Local media reported some houses were damaged, Associated Press news agency said.

There was thought to be no threat of a destructive, widespread tsunami, said the USGS.

"However there is the possibility of a local tsunami that could affect coasts located usually no more than 100km from the earthquake epicentre," Reuters news agency quoted the USGS as saying.

Indonesia is located on the volatile Pacific Ring of Fire, a belt of tectonic activity girdling the Pacific Ocean that triggers earthquakes and volcanic activity.

Aceh is on the north-western tip of Sumatra, one of Indonesia's main islands, and is frequently rocked by earthquakes.

One last year killed more than 1,000 people on the island.

About 170,000 people were killed in Aceh from the 2004 earthquake and the tsunami it launched.

The waves spread across the Indian Ocean to cause death and destruction as far away as Sri Lanka, Burma and Thailand.

Shell Helix transparent 370Z

I believe some of us had seen the video commercial advertisement of SHELL HELIX lubricant. If you thought it's is a CG Image then you're wrong. And so you'll be impressed that the transparent Nissan 370Z is real!! The clip below shows how the engine oil works in your car's engine.

Service and some improvements for my NEO

My car's air filter were VERY dirty or even clogged and the car reached service mileage.
I feel that I have the budget to spend some money to improve the performance and fuel efficiency.

1st item to change - Engine Lubricant:
After DIY the Lubricant Flushing, it's time to pour in a new set of lubricant oil.
The Oil (F4 Pro 10W-40 Semi-Synthetic) is manufactured by GReddy, a famous automotive performance OEM part of Japan.
Actually I preferred Red Line since it was proven by some Motorsports enthusiasts. But it's a way too expensive (RM50/Liter, and my car needs 4 liters). So I decided to take this, the result is quite satisfied. It's smooth in every reving range as the engine's friction has been reduced.

Next, the Air Filter:After a few of surveys, I found RedLine Performance's drop in air-filter is the cheaper and effective long-life performance air-filter, it is washable and endurable, it provides greater air flow as well.

The air flow was proved as follow,
Stock Paper Filter:

Redline Performance Filter

The original filter was thrown as it's dirty and make cars less fuel efficient:
The result after these minor upgrades are great. The car is more willing to rev and smoother, as for the fuel efficient, I'll try them for longer period for the better accurate result. But as the performance, I can say I'd like to say I'm quite happy with it, the car turns lighter and faster in throttle response.
Thanks Joe (Red line performance +60123225649) for assisting me in these improvements.

I dig Monga

This is a domestic Taiwanese movie released at Feb 2010.

It's a classic gangster tale. The main actors in this movie are famous Mark Chao (趙又廷). Mixed blood Vaughan (鳳小岳), and Ruan (阮經天).

The film, set in Taipei’s Wanhua district in the 1980s, evokes a nostalgia for a not so distant past. It perhaps represents a time of innocence, a world on the cusp of old and new. This sets up the plot with outside gangs seeking to move in and change things, while the Temple Front resists change.

I've watched it few days ago by PPS, I give it a 9/10. I sincerely introduce this movie for those haven't watching it.

Having Fun With Photoshop

I had my Photoshop lesson when I was in college. The lesson just held for a semester (4 months), I'm not an expert but having some basic skills.

To edit the Photo I use as header of my blog, I choose this picture of a Proton Satria Neo running on SIC (Sepang International Circuit / Sepang F1 Circuit):

next, I make some Motion Blur effect to the background:

And finally, I add words and some fixes to the car:

Lastly, the lighting effect:

If you use photoshop frequently and you will wonder, since I said I use Motion Blur effect but why the car doesn't blur at all? And in further how come the car's tail looks blur?
Well I cut the car out from the original picture before I did the motion blur effect, that's the key. As for the tail's part it was made to make the car looks faster, and more nature.

Nice? Let's hope you like it.

Make a Solar Powered Charger

Want to charge your Phone, MP3 Player or PSP but no where you can find the switch? It's fine, there is a solution. We could simply DIY a Solar Powered Charger.

All you need is a 6v Solar Panel, some wires and a female USB port.
It'll be cheap and environment friendly.

(Btw, where to buy a Solar Panel around M'sia??)

Propose need to be luxury and waste of money

Nice proposal that able to drive a girl crazy for you. The proposal were made in cinema, and even hired Alex Du to perform in this proposal. As we known, leasing a cinema cost a lot, and no question for how much we have to pay to hiring a professional artist.

Girls like the cost of proposal or the sincerity?

Luckily I'm currently single and doesn't have to think about it (yet).

Ip Man + Iron Man = Ipron Man?!??

Ip Man 2 and Iron Man 2 are released almost at the same date, make some people imagine of what Ip Man and Iron Man mixed looks like.

Here is the image I found from Cari forum, with the tag lines of "Kung Fu Master, Comic Book Hero, The perfect Boyfriend", it designed like a DVD packaging, and the mixed "Ipron Man" in the picture looks ridiculous, funny though.

Anyway, both Ip Man 2 and Iron Man 2 are worth to watch with your mate(s).

The Title

It's simple to explain the Blog title: "Jerry. Neo Life"

Neo refers to "New". And Neo (Satria) is my favorite car, a 3 Doors Hatch Back produced by Proton. The photo of the car is on top of this blog.

So, in other word, the title could be "Jerry. New Life".

Lastly, welcome to my blog and thanks for reading. Everyone are welcomed. If you have any doubts, wanted to share your opinion or likes my sharing, please leave a comment.

Have a nice day.

Here is the fresh start.

People deserve to get a fresh start as they got up in the morning.
"Get rid the old me and get a new one!"

So I did the same, here's where my new life begins, by blogging and sharing of everything happened on me or around me, my thoughts and what I know. This blog will majority in sharing of knowledge, interests, and personal point of views.

Well, firstly, let me have an introduce of myself.

I'm a pure Chinese born in Singapore and settled in Malaysia, Johor Bahru. Graduated from a domestics college and Major in logistics management. Presently unemployed, but soon will get one (I believe). I'm 22 (born in 1987), a quite serious person (sometimes) and hot tempered (I call it "passion of life"). Lay. Xiquan is my sure name, but I prefer people address me Jerry, it makes me feel comfortable. I was a independent video-graph-er, working with weeding events and etc, since I'm just using a Handy-cam, my charge will be low. If you like to have a video record for back-up or just want to have more angles of view, please contact me via Telephone (+60167479453) or E-mail (jerrylay.newlife@gmail.com) charges will depends on length and circumstances. Just available in Johor Bahru area and receive cash ONLY. Work only at night and weekends. (end of my business Ad.)

I am an out-going person, like photograph, movie, music, novel writing, hanging out for tea and etc. One of my major hobby is Motor-sports. If you are a person who talks car, eats car, drinks car, sleeps car... bro, you are a same creature as I am =D. If you're an expert in everything about cars, it would be a pleasure to be your friends.

Most of the entries of this blog will be written in English, even I wrote without grammar and structure, but I'd feel glad as long as you're able to understand. Correct me in anyway if there are any serious grammar mistakes. I would like to learn from you.

Why did I say "here is the fresh start"
Simply get rid from old me and get a new one, this is my purpose. To prove that I'm currently working on it, I need some specific elements. So I changed my e-mail address, create a new blog, woke up earlier in the morning and change my car's lubricant (is it related?... not.), but most importantly, I'm changing my attitude. After my graduation it's a new path of my life, I didn't plan for further study and it's time to shift to a completely different stage - working life. I wish to work as a marketing person, I need human relations to achieve my goals. It's not about take advantages from others, but to share the networks and relationships thus create a large network that coverage almost all supply and demands.

ps: There's a project of "Pre-entrepreneur network", I'm still working on it. Please stay tune.

Have a nice day, and have a fresh start everyday.

Cheerrss =)
